EU and India agree on need for joint chips research

“Mutually beneficial” research areas will be identified to strengthen semiconductor ecosystem

The EU and India have signed an agreement that includes intentions to undertake joint research on semiconductors, to build transparency and resilience in their semiconductor supply chains.

The bilateral memorandum on semiconductors was facilitated by the EU-India Trade and Technology Council and signed on 23 November.
