Commission admits proposal to make sustainable design initiative an EU R&I-based mission faced probing reception
The European Commission has admitted that EU member state governments have posed “questions” about its plans to launch a new research and innovation-based ‘mission’ focused on the bloc’s New European Bauhaus initiative.
Launched in 2021, the New European Bauhaus is intended to support sustainable design, particularly around cities and buildings. In July this year the Commission said it wanted to make the initiative a mission under the EU’s Horizon Europe R&I programme.
