Change sought to clarify ERA policy agenda and prevent initiative becoming mired in talks
Momentum is growing for a shake-up of how the EU’s European Research Area policy package is structured, amid concerns that the current iteration has been only partly successful.
Launched in 2000, the ERA aims to bring the bloc’s countries closer together on research policies and is seen as a key mechanism for bringing about changes at national level, beyond what is achievable at EU level.
