Hundreds apply to take part in EU science diplomacy link-up

Planned science diplomacy working groups attract 575 researchers and diplomats interested in taking part

Researchers and diplomats have applied in droves to the European Union’s call for interested parties to take part in working groups to develop parts of a mooted future European science diplomacy framework.

A call for applications to the four working groups, which closed on 31 October, received 575 eligible submissions, the European Commission said. Of these, 244 were women.
