EU education commissioner pushes for mobility opportunities to reach more students

There is enough support for the European Education Area among EU politicians to meet the aims of the initiative, the bloc’s research and education commissioner, Iliana Ivanova, has insisted.

Speaking at the annual European Education Summit on 30 November, Ivanova (pictured) said the EU is “halfway to our 2025 goal” of building up the EEA as an initiative through which the EU’s member states collaborate on education—an area of activity in which competencies mainly lie with individual nations.
