Platform launched to update on European Research Area

Dedicated “one-stop-shop” to give overview of ERA policies and activities

An online platform to provide updates on the European Research Area policy package has been launched by the European Commission.

The ERA is a longstanding initiative for bringing EU countries closer together on their research and innovation policies and raising R&I standards. In 2021, the EU adopted 18 policy priorities—referred to as ERA actions—for 2022-24, in a bid to reinvigorate the initiative, which had begun to stall.
