European Parliament committee seeks to shed light on anti-Jewish incidents in educational institutions
The European Parliament’s education committee has sounded the alarm over a rise in antisemitism across the continent, by holding a discussion to shed light on how the problem is emerging in educational settings, including universities.
“Antisemitic statements and actions are on the rise across the EU and, as in the darkest times in our history, Jewish citizens are no longer able to feel safe in the public sphere,” said German MEP Romeo Franz, who chaired the discussion on 13 February.
