Experts say European pressure could help ease unjust treatment of foreign researchers in China

Pressure from the EU could help make China behave more reciprocally around academic exchange with the bloc, experts have suggested.

Late last month, EU and Chinese representatives met in Beijing for a High-Level People-to-People Dialogue on education, culture, youth and sport, at which the European Commission said the EU side raised concerns around limitations on academic freedom in China.
