Unions warn over lack of investment in higher education

“Precarity and casualisation” are affecting academics in European Higher Education Area, according to unions

A lack of investment is undermining higher education in Europe, academic unions have warned.

The European Trade Union Committee for Education said on 31 May that it and some of its members made this point repeatedly in meetings organised around the ministerial meeting on the European Higher Education Area that took place last week.
