The European Chemicals Agency, which oversees adherence to EU rules on the safe use of chemicals, is seeking feedback on its five-year strategic plan.
A draft of the plan, published in March, sets out an ambition for the ECHA to become “the main source of scientific knowledge and technical know-how on chemicals” in the EU between 2019 and 2023.
It anticipates “challenging times ahead”, including as a result of this year’s evaluation of the existing Reach (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) regulation and the lack of clarity over the UK’s departure from the EU.
