Guidance warns of ‘covert motives’ of some potential collaborators on research with military potential
The European Commission is seeking feedback on guidance related to how researchers and their employers should comply with EU rules on the international transfer of ‘dual-use’ technologies—those with potentially military as well as civil applications.
The Commission wants researchers and other interested parties to consider the guidance—which was drawn up by an expert group—before the Commission adopts it as an official recommendation. The consultation closes on 30 November.
