Biotechnologist hits back at report on transparency in lobbying on genetic modification

A researcher named in a report critical of lobbying around genetic modification has hit back at his critics in the European Parliament, accusing them of “double standards”.

Last month, the Greens/European Free Alliance (EFA) group in the Parliament published a report alleging that various researchers, including CNRS plant biotechnologist Marcel Kuntz, had conflicts of interest in lobbying around genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and that some of these conflicts were insufficiently disclosed.
