Leru calls for EU-wide rules on copyright for academia

Current laws are imbalanced in favour of academic publishers, university group says

The EU should have bloc-wide rules on copyright for academia, a group of European universities has said after taking part in workshops intended to improve the current fragmented regulatory landscape.

The League of European Research Universities (Leru) said on 27 February that there had been “positive developments in making EU copyright and data legislation fit for research” and teaching.
