Transparency agreements work, animal research group finds

     

Signatory institutions are “far better” at providing information on their use of animals for research

National transparency agreements are proving effective at improving information sharing on the use of animals in research in the EU, an analysis has found.

The European Animal Research Association, which advocates for the responsible use of animals in research until alternatives can be found, looked at the websites of 908 institutions across the EU that conduct animal research, to see how much information they were sharing about this and how.
