EU opens up ‘high-value datasets’ to drive AI and innovation

Datasets on Earth observation and mobility made available, alongside improved supercomputing capacity for small companies

New EU rules have come into force that open up “high-value datasets” to drive innovation and artificial intelligence developments.

The rules, which kicked in on 9 June, apply to public datasets related to six thematic areas: geospatial, Earth observation, meteorological, statistics, companies and mobility.
