Luleå gets data centre

The Swedish government is investing 103 million kronor (€11.4m) in the establishment of a data storage centre in Luleå, it announced on 27 October.

“The investment in a data centre will give the region competence in a future growth area,” said Annie Loof, Sweden’s minister for industry. The proximity to Luleå Technical University will also create opportunities for companies and businesses to emerge in the region, she added.
