Ericsson cuts R&D spend

Mobile technologies company Ericsson is to cut its investment in R&D by 3.6 billion kronor (€405m) this year following disappointing results in the final quarter of last year, reports magazine NyTeknik.

According to Hans Vesterberg, the head of Ericsson, the bad results from the end of last year were due to poor sales in North America and Russia.
