Sweden’s Research Council (VR) will take over the responsibility for funding Swedish research focusing on solving problems in low-and middle-income countries.
The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) will transfer about ten per cent, or 170 million kroner, (€19.8m) of its total annual budget to VR next year, the agency said on 2 October.
