Boost for ethanol research in Lund

The Swedish Energy Agency has awarded 43 million kroner (€4.8m) to four research teams at Lund University for projects looking at producing ethanol more efficiently. One of the projects will study the economic opportunities of building bio-refineries in Sweden.

The cash will be used to hire about ten doctoral students, the university said on 26 January.
