Vinnova funds open access data

Sweden's innovation agency Vinnova has funded 22 research projects that will make research data publicly accessible. The projects will share 6 million kroner (€678,000), Vinnova said on 14 June.

The projects include one from the Swedish national archives which will release data on tests carried out on conscripts for the Swedish military.

Vinnova hopes the projects will make it easier for businesses, scientists private persons and the media to access raw data that in turn can lead to new solutions and services.
