Sweden plans R&D funding increase

Sweden could raise its spend on research by 4 billion kronor (€470m) by 2016, the education minister said on 11 September.

The proposal, part of a research bill due in October, means public research expenditure will increase by 1.7bn in 2013. By 2016 the annual spend would exceed the current annual budget by 4bn kroner.
