Sweden fails to impress global R&D investors

Only 6 per cent of international research-intensive companies see Sweden as a highly competitive country to conduct research in, a study has shown.

The study, commissioned by the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise (Svenskt Näringsliv), is based on interviews with research directors of 31 large, R&D-intensive companies in 16 countries across the world. The firms represent a large number of industries including aerospace, pharmaceuticals and healthcare equipment.
