The Swedish government has appointed Peter Högberg as rector of the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU).
Högberg has been the head of the faculty for forest sciences at the SLU since 2013, and head of the department for forest ecology and management before that.
“I am honoured and excited about this role,” Högberg said in a statement on 30 April. “Our university is important for the development of a sustainable bio-based economy.”
