EU gives funds to Moroccan education

The European Commission has committed €92 million to support education reforms in Morocco.

Johannes Hahn, commissioner for European neighbourhood policy and enlargement, signed a finance agreement on 12 December.

The funds will be spent on improving education standards and modernising the way students are taught in Morocco. Hahn said this reflects the EU’s commitment to Morocco and its support for a wide range of reforms Morocco has launched, including the national equality plan and the justice reform programme.
