Four UK universities have been placed in the top 10 of the latest QS World University Ranking.
The University of Cambridge was the leading European university in the latest edition of the ranking, taking fifth place. US universities claimed the top four spots, with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology coming in first place.
Institutions in the UK also claimed the next three places in the ranking, which was published yesterday. The University of Oxford placed sixth, University College London seventh, and Imperical College London eight.
