EuroScience leader Peter Tindemans is to leave the not-for-profit association, which represents researchers across Europe, after almost seven years at its head.
The organisation, which has about 3,000 members, said on 17 October that it was looking to recruit a new secretary-general to lead operations and oversee the executive office. The candidate will also be responsible for driving EuroScience’s agenda and advising the governing board on fundraising.
Tindemans has been in the role since 2012. He told Research Europe that, while the official term was four years, EuroScience was not strict about the time period because the position was voluntary.
