The EU’s proposed support for networks of European universities should include funding for projects that combine research, innovation and education, a university group has said.
Small-scale seed funding for projects combining these three areas would generate a large amount of added value, the European Consortium of Innovative Universities said in a paper it published on 26 April.
“These funds can serve as a kick-off platform for large-scale knowledge-triangle projects,” the ECIU said. “EU support for the development of new research-education-innovation collaborations is imperative for true institution-wide collaboration.”
