Men and women have a ‘different understanding of the gender gap in academia’

Female scholars view academia as a less equal playing field than their male colleagues, according to research published in the US journal PLOS One.

The further "you go up the academic ladder, the number of women goes down—that may go with how much support for leadership women perceive,” lead author Judit García-González, a researcher at Queen Mary University of London, told Research Professional News.
