The budget for the EU’s Erasmus+ education and training programme should be tripled for the 2021-27 period, the European Parliament’s education committee has said.
The committee reaffirmed its call for a three times bigger budget for Erasmus+ by adopting a report on the programme on 20 February. The demand was previously made in March 2018, when the full Parliament agreed its general stance on the EU’s 2021-27 budget.
In its more fine-grained set of proposals for Erasmus+, the committee also sought a greater focus on disadvantaged people and closer links with other EU programmes, a Parliament statement said.
