Benefits of Erasmus+ scheme brought into focus

A large study has found evidence that the EU’s Erasmus+ mobility programme brought a wide range of benefits for the more than 2 million students and staff who took part between 2014 and 2018, and for the institutions they moved between.

In a survey of almost 77,000 respondents, 72 per cent of students said that they thought their experiences in the programme helped them get their first job, the study reported. It found that 26 per cent said that they had reoriented their studies after taking part.

The education commissioner, Tibor Navracsics, welcomed the findings.
