The European Commission’s ranking system, U-Multirank, has published its annual appraisal of the performance of European universities.
The results, published on 4 June, show that universities with a more international outlook performed better across multiple areas of their work, the project’s leaders said.
Those institutions with the strongest international links in knowledge transfer, research impact and education generated greater numbers of patents and spinoff companies and had more satisfied students.
