Vocational education becoming more diverse, study finds

But interest is declining in some countries, amid a growing preference for general education

The lines between vocational education and higher education may be blurring, a study has reported.

Vocational education is “becoming more diverse in its programmes and qualifications and expanding into higher levels, challenging the perception of higher education as exclusively academically oriented,” according to the report published on 30 March by the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training.
