European Universities Initiative to fund 24 more alliances

Alliances will bring together 165 higher education institutions

The European Commission has announced that 24 additional alliances of higher education institutions have secured funding from the EU’s European Universities Initiative for strengthening institutions through cross-border collaboration.

Each alliance will receive up to €5 million over three years from the EU’s Erasmus+ mobility scheme, and up to €2m from its Horizon 2020 R&D programme, the Commission announced on 9 July.
