European funders update guide for managing research data

Guidelines suggest how grant reviewers should assess researchers’ data management plans

Science Europe, the association of research funders and performers, has updated its practical guide for managing research data, so that it now includes suggested assessment criteria for reviewing researchers’ data plans.

The guide, published on 27 January, expands on an original published in 2019, and lays out what funders should ask for and how they can judge if researchers’ proposed plans for managing their data are good enough.
