Mobility, work-life balance and gender equality among issues on ministers’ radar

Research ministers coming together in the Council of the EU have called for action to improve researchers’ careers and brain circulation within the bloc, in what the Council said marks “a turning point” for efforts on both fronts.

On 28 May, the Council adopted conclusions noting the “importance of adequate framework conditions for research careers, including work-life balance, employability and access to social protection for all”.
