Concern over secretariat call for coalition on assessment reform

Fears raised by participants after just one organisation applies for support role

A call to provide the secretariat for a coalition on implementing EU-backed reforms of research assessment has been criticised for not being more broadly communicated, after only one organisation applied.

The coalition is being built to help organisations implement voluntary reforms that they are signing up to, with the aim of making assessment fairer and more reflective of the breadth of research roles. Governance processes for it are due to be decided in December.
