At least €285,000 expected to be needed for tasks running until December 2023
Organisations setting up an international coalition on reforming research assessment have developed draft plans for what the coalition would do in its first year or so of operations, and how it would be run.
The coalition is being created to help organisations implement reforms they are voluntarily signing up to via an EU-led agreement intended to make assessment fairer. Reforms include basing assessment primarily on qualitative evaluation and abandoning use of inappropriate publication-based metrics.
