Universities in West Balkan countries can now become full alliance partners
The latest call for the European Universities Initiative, the EU’s scheme for financing cross-border collaborations among higher education institutions, has launched with a record budget of €384 million.
In a change from the three previous calls, the European Commission said on 30 September that countries in the Western Balkans will be allowed to become full partners in the EUI alliances, which carry out collaborative work such as creating joint campuses, qualifications and posts.
