‘Many challenges remain’ for university links across EU borders

European University Association flags differences in quality assurance, academic calendars, language and tuition fees

Many challenges remain for university cooperation across European borders, the European University Association has said, based on a survey of national rectors’ conferences.

The EUA’s warning came despite EU efforts for more than 20 years to remove barriers to cross-border working and mobility with its European Research Area and European Education Area policy initiatives, among others.
