AI seen as a tool, not a threat to researchers, finds ERC survey

Majority of researchers agree artificial intelligence will not make their jobs obsolete any time soon

Most researchers working with artificial intelligence agree that AI will help their profession rather than replace it, a survey by the European Research Council has found.

The survey on the use of AI in scientific processes asked questions of 1,034 ERC grantees who either researched AI or relied on it in some way for their project.
