National consultations to inform next ERA priorities

Concerns raised that European Research Area policy package is little known outside Brussels bubble

EU member state governments are due to consult their national research sectors by the end of the year on future priorities for the European Research Area, according to the European University Association.

Launched in 2000, the ERA aims to bring EU countries closer together on research policies and raise research standards across the bloc.
