Research and education commissioner announces voluntary mutual degree recognition for European Education Area
A “blueprint” for a European degree will be presented by the European Commission in the coming weeks, research and education commissioner Iliana Ivanova has promised.
In a speech on 19 February, Ivanova (pictured) said that the outline would be “another building block of the European Education Area”, which is the EU’s policy package for raising education standards and supporting academic mobility. The EEA has recently been criticised for falling behind on its student-mobility target for 2025.
