Study outlines EU efforts to modernise higher education

Council reports on programmes to improve labour-market relevance in many member states

A report has set out how various EU member states are acting to improve the ways in which their higher education systems drive innovation and develop students’ workplace skills.

“Most of them have launched specific programmes to renew their training offer and improve their labour market relevance, many focusing on the digital transformation of higher education and on introducing micro-credentials,” according to the report from the Council of the EU governments, published on 5 February.
