Teresa Riera Madurell, who led last year’s negotiations on Horizon 2020 for Itre—the European Parliament’s industry, research and energy committee—is pleased with the fruits of that labour.
The Itre committee members tabled around 2,000 amendments to the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 draft, which Riera and her colleagues brought down to 86 compromises. The final six reports on improving the European Commission’s draft programme were adopted with an overwhelming majority.
