Turning inclusive innovation from rhetoric to action

Governments are realising that innovation policy can be used to help marginalised groups. But there is a dearth of detail on what works, say Amos Zehavi and Dan Breznitz.

In 2008, Rav Bariach, an Israeli company specialising in door manufacturing, was on the verge of bankruptcy. 

Less than a decade later, business is booming, with production, sales and profits all up. The workforce has more than trebled to about 600 workers, of whom the majority are low-skilled and working in Israel’s peripheral areas.
