A tale of two statistics

A mere month ago the worldwide number of vaccinations against Covid-19, some 115 million, had overtaken the total number of cases, which stood at 104 million. But EU and European Economic Area countries were lagging, having vaccinated just 12.8 million people against 19.7 million cases. Today, the picture in the EEA has dramatically improved. According to the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control, the EEA has confirmed 22.5 million cases but has now administered 34.1 million vaccinations.
