Sector is in chorus over need for more EU research funding, but not in tune

Concerns about EU research and innovation funding are everywhere at the moment—at least for those listening to the sector.

In various forums this month, EU R&I commissioner Iliana Ivanova has warned that the EU as a whole is investing about €100 billion a year less than it should be if it wants to keep economic pace with its global competitors.
