KiwiNet ‘shop window’ database launched

The Kiwi Innovation Network, a consortium of universities and public research institutes across New Zealand focused on increasing commercialisation, launched an online database on 31 January aimed at helping businesses, entrepreneurs and investors target opportunities across the country.

The KiwiNet Innovation Database is intended to act as a ‘shop window’ for research projects, inventions and patents from across New Zealand.

“The KiwiNet Innovation Database is designed to jumpstart the transfer of research technology to the marketplace by bringing together science and business. We have a wealth of innovations in our universities and research institutes and by opening up access and working together we can unlock great value,” said Andrew Turnbull, a director of KiwiNet.
