New Zealand research projects get $59m boost

More than 109 research projects have been allocated NZ$59 million from the Marsden Fund, run by the Royal Society of New Zealand on behalf of the national government.

The fund allocates grants each year and supports projects in all disciplines, science, technology, engineering, maths, social sciences and the humanities.

Some 40 of the 109 awards this year went to early-career researchers. All of the funded proposals are for three years.
