Catalyst grants support trans-Tasman research

The New Zealand government has allocated $4.46 million through its Catalyst Fund grants for three joint research projects with Australian science organisations.

Announcing the funding on 15 June, science minister Paul Goldsmith said that both countries faced “many of the same issues and opportunities” that would benefit from high quality collaborative research.

The Catalyst Fund is administered by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment and supports international research partnerships and scientific cooperation with NZ scientists.
